Mary Von Koss, Pastoral Associate

Mary Von Koss serves as Pastoral Associate overseeing the areas of Worship and Adult Faith Formation within the parish. She holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary and a Bachelor of Science and certificate in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan. Involvement in parish life has always been important to her practice of the Catholic faith.  Prior to joining the staff, from 1990-2000 Mary volunteered at the parish, coordinating the Liturgy of the Word with Children and serving on the Worship Commission.  She practiced pediatric physical therapy for twenty-five years prior to receiving the call to full-time ministry in the Church in 2000.

Mary served on the Birmingham-Bloomfield-Troy Vicariate Pastoral Council prior to the re-configuration of the vicariate into the South Oakland Vicariate, and she is has been involved in the RCIA at the vicariate level. She is a member of the National Association of Lay Ministers and of the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership. She has a love for the liturgy and feels blessed and privileged to be able to serve the People of God at St. Regis.
