South Oakland Shelter (SOS)
Annually, the St. Regis Catholic Parish serves the community by providing food and shelter for homeless guests from the South Oakland Shelter (SOS). This week-long event, usually the third week of June, requires the help of over 250 volunteers. There is a full range of service opportunities from meal preparations to providing entertainment for our guests. Some can be as short as a 30 minute commitment to 5 or 6 hours of overnight supervision. Parishioners of all ages may participate. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, St. Regis will be working to raise funds for hotel accommodations and meals in lieu of hosting them on-site this year. If you would like to make a donation, fill out the form below. We are looking to raise $24,500 to provide room and board for 120 SOS guests.
