Our pastor, Fr. David Buersmeyer will be entering Senior “Retired” Priest status on July 1, 2023. We will have a farewell celebration for him on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the 10:00 a.m. Mass followed by a reception in the gymnasium from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Please join us for the Mass or stop by the gym during that time to give Fr. Dave your personal well-wishes.

As a Senior Priests Fr. Dave will no longer will have any administrative responsibilities to a specific parish, but he plans on living in the Detroit area and be available to help at any parish in the Archdiocese who needs supplemental priest help. He also hopes to continue giving talks or teach and help in other ways. More details will be forthcoming about how to stay in contact with Fr. Buersmeyer. Let us pray for him, thank him for his seven years of being our pastor and forty-three years of serving as a priest in the Archdiocese of Detroit.
