Mary Grobbel, School Counselor

Mrs. Mary Grobbel earned her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University with a specialty in Early Childhood Development. She obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University with a concentration in families, children and youth. She is a Certified Trauma and Loss School Specialist. Mrs. Grobbel has over 20 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings, including Children’s Hospital, Catholic Social Services Adoption and Foster Care, and public schools.

Mrs. Grobbel has been part of the St. Regis School team since 2003 as the School Counselor. She works with students, parents, teachers, and other school and community organizations to assist in meeting the specific needs of each child. She regularly meets with students individually or in groups to help facilitate social skills, conflict resolution, grief and loss, adjustment issues, and academic support. She provides liaison services, advocacy and resource gathering.
