Academy Vocal Program

The Academy Vocal Program is taught by Vocal Department Chair, Ms. Carissa Madly. She is completing  her eleventh year as music teacher at St. Regis Catholic School.  During this time, she has prepared the students for singing in the choir during daily and all school Masses, coordinated and directed three concerts per school year, and developed a middle school Show Choir, which has taken home both first place (2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2014-15, 2015-16) and second place (2012-2013) awards as well as Outstanding Middle School Vocalist (2012-2013, 2015-16) in the Music in the Parks competition at Cedar Point.

Students from Young Fives through 5th grade benefit from music education enhancing our curriculum. Once students enter the Academy, students can choose to come Monday-Thursday for the music department’s zero hour class in the morning. Music electives are also developed and taught on the elective schedule for students in grades 6-8.

Spring Musical: Students in grades 5-8 are able to participate in our annual school musical. Tryouts are held in second semester.
