Amy Senk

Mrs. Amy Senk, Pre-School Director/Teacher

Mrs. Amy Senk is looking forward to another wonderful year teaching the four year-old preschoolers. She holds a bachelors degree from Michigan State University—GO Green!—and worked with at-risk youth before realizing her calling was to be in the classroom. She continued her education to earn her State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with a ZA endorsement and masters degree (MAT) from Aquinas College. Her teaching career began in 2004 at St. Regis as a kindergarten teacher. While she loved this position, she moved out of the area with her family and taught preschool in St. Clair, MI. Upon her return to Bloomfield Hills, she accepted a preschool position at St. Mary’s in Royal Oak and fell in love with Early Childhood Education. She returned to St. Regis in 2010, where she aided in the development of the preschool program and has loved watching the little ones learn and grow!

Mrs. Senk enjoys the blessings each new year brings as she guides children in developing a strong sense of faith, joy, and confidence. She believes that young children learn best through play while being surrounded by positive role models who celebrate their success and supports them through their challenges. She teaches young children using developmentally appropriate practice to introduce concepts and skills that encourage the growth of the whole child and strives to meet individual needs of each child.
