HAPPY New YEAR!
The Faculty and Staff at St. Regis Catholic School would like to wish you a very Happy New Year!
COVID-19 Reminders and Protocols
DO NOT send any child to school if:
- They are symptomatic, have tested positive, or are awaiting testing results for COVID-19.
- Anyone in the family has COVID-19 symptoms, has tested positive, or is awaiting test results.
- You and/or your family have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Please err on the side of caution, keep your children home, and get tested if symptomatic or exposed.
If your child has been a *close contact to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, they may not return to school EVEN if they have received a negative test result. He/She must quarantine for the full 10-14 days.
*Close contacts are those considered to be within 6 feet of a positive person for a cumulative time of 15 minutes. Mask wearing does not exclude someone from being a close contact if they meet the above criteria (because not all masks are created equal, and not all masks are worn properly).
Please contact Mrs. Brydges if you fall into any of the above scenarios or if you have any questions prior to January 11, 2021.
Additionally, the guidance from the CDC and Oakland County Health Department advise the following after domestic and international travel:
- Testing 3-5 days after travel AND stay home for 7 days after travel.
- Even if you test negative, stay home for the full 7 days.
- If your test is positive, isolate yourself to protect others from getting infected.
- If you don’t get tested, it’s safest to stay home for 10 days after travel.
- Avoid being around people who are at increased risk for severe illness for 14 days, whether you get tested or not.
We thank you for your continued respect for our community and face-to-face instruction by following the CDC and Oakland County Health Department guidelines.
