Host Week is June 11-17, 2023

SOS (South Oakland Shelter) is a program, run by Lighthouse of Pontiac, helping homeless families transition to homes by supporting them with lodging, food, and job transportation. The new model is to shelter the families in 18 individual apartments in Lighthouse’s Family Center in Pontiac.

St. Regis parishioners gave generously during Lent to fund our host week, and our school families are gathering travel toiletries. In addition, together with the other West Maple Family of Parishes, we will provide box lunch ingredients to each apartment, as well as provide dinners and evening entertainment. If you are interested in donating lunch supplies, participating with the residents by bringing and serving a (paid for) catered evening meal, or interacting with some outside or inside entertainment.
