Eucharist
The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith and the heart of our parish life. At Mass, we gather as one family to worship God, hear His Word, and receive Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Every Mass is “a little Easter,” celebrating Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection. Through the Eucharist, we grow closer to Christ and one another, are strengthened in faith, and are sent forth to live the Gospel.
As St. John Chrysostom beautifully reminds us:
"You cannot pray at home as at church, where there is a great multitude, where exclamations are cried out to God as from one great heart, and where there is something more: the union of minds, the accord of souls, the bond of charity, the prayers of the priests.”
Participating in Holy Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation is both a privilege and an important responsibility. At Mass, we honor God, nourish our faith, receive His grace, and remain connected to our parish family. Serious circumstances, such as illness or caring for an infant, may excuse this obligation. Those unable to attend are encouraged to pray and, when possible, request a visit from the St. Regis Homebound Ministry. We warmly invite you and your family to gather with us around the altar and encounter Christ in the Eucharist.

Preparation for First Holy Eucharist
The journey toward a child’s First Holy Eucharist begins at Baptism. As children grow in their relationship with Jesus and understanding of the Catholic faith, receiving the Sacred Body and Precious Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is a beautiful next step in their sacramental journey.
During preparation, children discover the incredible gift Jesus gives us in the Eucharist: the gift of His very self. They learn about His Real Presence and deepen their appreciation of His love for each of us. They also explore the parts of the Mass and become familiar with its music, Scripture, prayers, and responses.
Through learning, prayer, and participation, children are invited to know Jesus more deeply and approach their First Eucharist with joyful, open hearts. We are blessed to accompany your family and celebrate this special milestone together as a parish community.
