Monday Evening Formation
Grades 1-8
Weekly Faith Formation takes place on Monday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 for students in first through eighth grades during the academic year. Our volunteer catechists witness their own faith journey for our students while incorporating different activities and experiences for the students to grow their own faith. Students also participate in group prayer, the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Mass together throughout the year.
Classes begin on Monday, September 25th with a mandatory parent/student meeting @ 6:30 pm in Fr. Shields Hall. You must be a registered parishioner at St. Regis or another parish in the Archdiocese of Detroit.
St. Regis Monday Faith Formation Policy
Attendance is mandatory. In the event, a child needs to miss a Faith Formation Class. A notification MUST be given to the Faith Formation office either via email or phone call. A child is allowed three absences. After 3 absences, the family will need to make arrangements with the Director of Faith Formation to make up missed class time.
Class CANCELLATIONS in the event of cancellation of class, a text on Remind will be sent out as well as an email will be sent.
Drop off and pick up All students, Grades 1-8, must be brought into and dropped off at the Fr. Shields Club Room. The students will meet their Catechist at their assigned table and together we will begin the class with prayer. Students and Catechist will go to their assigned classroom and then will be brought back into the Fr. Shields Club room for pick up. Parents must pick up their children in the Fr. Shields Club Room. If someone else other than a parent will be picking up your child, notification must be sent to the Faith Formation office to have on file.
Notifications all information is posted on the parish website, announcements at Mass, in the weekly bulletin, on St. Regis’s Facebook page and through emails or text messages sent through Remind. Remind is a FREE APP for your phone!!
