Archdiocese of Detroit Updated Safe Environment Policies
All employees and volunteers of the Archdiocese of Detroit (AOD) must be trained on the warning signs of various types of abuse. In an effort to prevent sexual abuse, bullying and other forms of mistreatment, all individuals working and volunteering in the Archdiocese of Detroit are required to complete the linked “Criminal Background Check Disclosure and Authorization Form”
and complete specified training.
The AOD uses Virtus, an online platform for all training, monitoring, and data collection. Use the link below to log into your existing Virtus account or to set up a new account. If you have taken Protecting God’s Children in the past, do not create a new account. If you do not remember your username or password, Virtus offers a username and password recovery option.
The Criminal Background Check Disclosure and Authorization Form must be completed
and signed in ink. Please submit the original copy of the completed form
to your supervisor or the parish office.
If you work or volunteer at another AOD location and have an existing Virtus account, please log into your account, click on the “My Info” box, scroll down to “+Add Role and Location”,
select your role at St. Regis and add St. Regis Parish as a location.
The AOD Code of Conduct
Our children are the most important gifts God has entrusted to us. Staff and volunteers must therefore follow the Code of Conduct at the above link.
Please return all fillable forms, once completed and signed, if applicable, to the parish Business Office or email to BusinessOffice@stregis.org.
Kindly direct any questions or concerns to Agnes Villarreal, Coordinator of Discipleship Formation at 248-646-2686 ext. 4014
Our goal is to empower children, youth and adults
to avoid and report unsafe or harmful situations.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
